Question 1: I am a foreign dental practitioner registered outside of Malaysia. Can I practise in Malaysia? |

Answer: Foreign dental practitioner registered outside of Malaysia whom wishes to practise in Malaysia must fulfil the requirements stated in the Guidelines for Application for Temporary Practising Certificate (TPC) for Dental Surgeons. The application for TPC must be through the employer. |

Question 2: I am a foreign dental practitioner recently graduated from local university. Can I register with Malaysian Dental Council (MDC)? |

Answer: MDC only registers Malaysian. Foreign dental practitioner recently graduated with a basic dental degree from local dental institution may practise with a Temporary Practising Certificate if he fulfils the requirements mentioned in the Guidelines for Application for Temporary Practising Certificate (TPC) for Dental Surgeons. He may be eligible to apply for the following: - Contract or exchange officers in the public sector - Contract officers in Institutions of Higher Education The application for TPC must be through the employer. |
